The Champion of Champions Match took place on Wednesday 7 October.  Congratulations to the following Brooklyn members who won their respective grades: A Grade - David Grain 197.10, B Grade - Pratik Tailor 198.6, C Grade - Sami Pobog-Jaworowski 97.1.
 
A large number of Brooklyn members attended the WSRA prizegiving dinner held on Saturday night.  It was definitely Brooklyn's night with the club being presented with the Osmond Shield, Wright Cup, Whitcombe & Caldwell trophy, interclub winners shields for Open, B and C grades, Meredith Ackrill and Neil Maddever winning the trophies for highest individual aggregate scores in their respective interclub competitions, as well as a good number of badges and trophies for closed championship winners and placegetters.  Many representative badges and date bars were also presented to Brooklyn members.
 
The interassociation match results have been posted on the TSNZ website.  Wellington teams finished as follows (Brooklyn members involved in brackets):
 
Open Grade: #1 team 8th (Meredith Ackrill); #2 team 19th (David Grain, Evan Little)
A Grade: #1 team 8th (David Grain, Evan Little); #2 team 6th (Hamish Grant)
B Grade: #1 team 2nd (Pratik Tailor); #2 team 7th (Mark Riley)
C Grade: #1 team 9th (Rory Leonard, Alex Krause, Jordan Kunz); #2 team 13th (Sami Pobog-Jaworowski, Hannah Kirk, Stefan Roth, Vania Tan)
D Grade: #1 team 7th (Ottilie Morrison, Stefan Roth, Rory Leonard, Matt Hagedorn); #2 team 3rd (Hannah Kirk)
Juniors: #1 team 9th (Pratik Tailor, Hamish Grant, Rory Leonard, Michael Saywell, Jordan Kunz); #2 team 10th (Sami Pobog-Jaworowski, Hannah Kirk, Vania Tan, Stefan Roth)
Women: #1 team 1st (Meredith Ackrill, Dianne Grain)
 
Well done to all involved.
 
Could all 2008 club trophy winners please clean their club trophies and return them in time for our club prizegiving on Friday 16 October.
 
The club competition has now been completed for the 2009 season.  Monday night shooting will recommence in late February/early March.  However if you are keen to continue shooting through the summer on Thursdays, please contact Evan Little or Neil Maddever.
 
The start of the outdoor season was postponed until 17 October due to bad weather last Saturday.  If you wish to have a go at 50m outdoor, please let me know.  The range is called the Allen Range, located at the end of Dante Road, Trentham, and we begin at 9.00 am each Saturday morning.

Brooklyn's prizegiving evening is being held this Friday commencing at 7.30 pm.  Family members are welcome to attend.  Please bring nibbles and drink with you. 

Upcoming events:
  • Saturday 10 October: Grading cards/spreadsheets to be completed and returned to Dianne. NOW OVERDUE.
  • Friday 16 October (7.30 pm, Brooklyn Range): Brooklyn Prizegiving Evening.
  • Saturday 17 October (9.00 am, Allen Range, Trentham): Commencement of 50m outdoor season.
